Following his school days, Lars was drafted into the military, where he did his basic military service of nine months in the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards) which was an infantry regiment of the Danish army. After having completed his military service Lars decided that it was not what he wanted , and began looking for something different. He then chose to pursue a degree in biology. Anette was working for the military for over a year, returned home from a juggler's lesson to show him how well she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was impressed and wanted to learn the same way. He dropped out of college to go to a juggling school. He was trained in fire breathing and the art of juggling in this school. Then he traveled with two of his buddies through Europe as a touring artist, performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. A few years later, he was to a child's circus, where he additionally studied pantomime in addition to street theater and children's theater.
