Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I loved every minute of it." I couldn't be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and understanding of Italian food. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of kids who struggle. Burrell is also an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate, where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her culinary passion and professional career. Anne was always grateful that she was able to share her passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
